I actually like Orlando better than Los Angeles. More to do i find. Weather is much the same and with less people.
I agree with the writer, the Peabody Hotel is the and I mean THE best hotel in Orlando. The Rosen Centre and Hilton are not bad, its just the Peabody is better. Love the ducks! Quack Quack!
Orlando has a very nice convention center with great location. Many hotels to choose from in different price ranges. Frankly, I find the peabody hotel too expensive (but someone has to pay for feeding the ducks, LOL). Both Rosen properties are very nice but the draw back with the Plaza is they need to link it to the convention center. That is what is hurting that hotel but the room rate is great and location to. Hilton's new tower is nice, great location beside the Peabody and across the road to both Rosen Centre and Plaza, rates a bit high. I have eaten at all four hotels with the Peabody having the best food and well the Rosen Plaza needs to keep their restaurant open. They said it was close because they had no reservations that day. Heck it was 6pm and I was hungry. Hope this helps others.
Attended the Zumba event this year and stayed at the Peabody Hotel. Awesome hotel, missed the ducks, where were they?
Hi Linda, I think the ducks come out at 12noon and 4pm (not sure might be 11am) They come off the elevator and walk through the lobby and into the water fountain. Looks to me like its a male duck with his 12 girlfriends walking behind. They all wanted the male ducks attention. kinda like real life, eh?
